Our Recruitment Process

The recruitment process varies slightly depending on the role, but the main stages are the same for everyone. We believe in everyone’s talent, and we strive to always recognise and develop our employees.

We publish advertisements for all our open positions on our recruitment page as well as on LinkedIn. If you are interested in an open role, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible, but within the specified application period, via our recruitment system. If you have any questions regarding the open position, please contact the person listed in the job advertisement.

Suitability assessments are used to increase objectivity in the way we evaluate candidates and to help us find the applicant best suited for the role. Once you have completed the tests used in the assessment, you will always receive your results.

We invite the most suitable applicants to interview. Depending on the role, there are two or more interview rounds. The purpose of the interviews is to help you determine whether SEB would be the right workplace for you. It gives you an opportunity to learn more about the position, the team, SEB as an employer, our values, and our work culture. For us, the interviews are an opportunity to get to know you as a candidate; your motivation, your skills, and your way of working. During the interviews, you will meet the hiring manager, an HR representative, and colleagues from the future team and other parts of the bank.

In the final stages of the recruitment process, we conduct a background check for candidates who move forward. As part of our process, we verify, among other things, the applicant’s identity, credit history, educational certificates listed in the application documents, and referees. For the selected candidate, the background check also includes a drug test and approval of external commitments outside the employment contract.

At the end of a successful recruitment process, we offer the position to the chosen candidate.

We stay in touch with all applicants either by email or by phone throughout the recruitment process. We strive to provide the best possible candidate experience and are happy to receive feedback on the recruitment process by email.
