Collaboration for the Good of the Baltic Sea for Over 10 Years
SEB has collaborated with the non‑profit foundation Baltic Sea Action Group (BSAG) for over ten years to support efforts to protect the Baltic Sea.
Baltic Sea Action Group (BSAG) is a non‑profit foundation that carries out significant initiatives to save the Baltic Sea. BSAG not only works to protect the Baltic Sea but also helps to combat the loss of biodiversity and limit climate change.
SEB contributes to the work for the Baltic Sea by providing its meeting and studio facilities to BSAG. Our hybrid studio, with its technical resources, enables BSAG to bring together experts, decision‑makers and audiences – regardless of geographical location.
We also give visibility to BSAG’s various campaigns that promote continuity in the work for the Baltic Sea. A good example is the Christmas Gift for the Baltic Sea campaign, which each year occupies a prominent place in SEB’s shop window in central Helsinki.
Protecting the Baltic Sea – a Shared Mission
We support organisations and initiatives that promote both sustainability and entrepreneurship. One of our key focus areas is climate action, and within this BSAG has been a long‑term and local partner in Finland.
Our collaboration with BSAG began already during the foundation’s early years, when SEB hosted a meeting connected to the Baltic Sea Action Summit in 2011.
Baltic Sea Action Group
The Baltic Sea Action Group’s (BSAG) goal is to reduce eutrophication and the effects of climate change, as well as to combat the loss of marine biodiversity. In addition, the foundation promotes responsible shipping and encourages regenerative agriculture in the Baltic Sea region.
