At SEB, we have a strong ambition to contribute to sustainable development, and we are committed to supporting our customers in the transition towards a better world. We are convinced that companies that integrate sustainability into their operations are more successful in the long term.

SEB has a strong ambition to contribute to sustainable development, and we are firmly committed to supporting our customers in the shift towards a low‑carbon economy. As a bank, we carry a significant responsibility for how we conduct our business, what we finance, and what we invest in. We strive to create long‑term value from an economic, social, and environmental perspective, and sustainability is therefore integrated into everything we do. Together with our customers, we continuously work to develop our business models to help achieve a more sustainable world.

Sustainability‑related disclosures

The SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation) is an EU regulation designed to make it easier for you to compare the sustainability efforts of different financial products. The regulation on sustainability‑related disclosures, as SFDR is called in Swedish, has created a standardised way of reporting on sustainability. It sets requirements for how financial market participants within the EU must inform their customers about their sustainability work, both at company level and for the products they offer.

The main objectives of the regulation are to:

  • increase transparency regarding sustainability
  • facilitate the financing of growth in a sustainable manner
  • counteract greenwashing

Identifying sustainability preferences

The EU has developed a regulatory framework that helps you take sustainability into account when investing. Therefore, we collect information about our customers’ sustainability preferences.

Sustainable financing solutions

At SEB, we are convinced that by supporting our customers we can help drive the transition towards a more sustainable economy.
